HAVASU 95 SPEEDWAY TO RING IN 2010 WITH A FULL DAY OF RACING AND A NEW YEARS
CELEBRATION

BY DAVE GRAYSON

After taking the month of December off to celebrate the holidays, the Havasu 95 Speedway returns to action on January 2nd with
a full afternoon of ASA sanctioned stock car racing, a demolition derby and a pit road new year's party.

The most scenic quarter mile asphalt track in the southwest, located within the Sara Park complex in beautiful Lake Havasu
City-Arizona, will treat its fans to action from the ASA street stocks who will be running a 75 laps feature with $1,000 going to the
winner. Also in action will be the factory stocks and the powder puff division.

When it gets down to ASA street stock racing at the Havasu 95 Speedway there's one major question that has been repeatedly
asked by drivers, speedway officials and the fans: who can beat Ralph Adams at this track? The division has ran three races so
far during the current winter season and this 69 year old ageless wonder has won all of them in rather convincing fashion.

Despite Adams' dominance the division points standings are actually still very close. There are 24 points separating the top four
drivers going into the January 2nd race. A very consistent Phillip Waterman is second in the standings and is only 12 points
behind Adams based on three top five finishes. Ricky Maddox Jr, with two top fives and one top ten, is ranked third just 18 points
from the top. Rick Bezansen, who also has two fives and one ten in his finish ratings, holds down fourth and is 24 markers from
the top.

The other competitive aspect is the notable rise of the car count in the ASA street stock division. In the previous three events that
car count has risen from 11 to 13 to 19. It's anticipated that the $1,000 winner's check is going to increase the car count for this
next race and that will translate into increased competition for Ralph Adams.

The fan favorite factory stocks will also be a huge part of this January 2nd new year's celebration at the Havasu 95 Speedway.
They will be bringing a skin tight battle for the top of the points standings. Going into this next event there is only eight points
separating the top five drivers.

Series veterans Lisa Snell and Scott Allen are tied at the top of the standings with 216 points each. Snell is ranked first because
of her feature win along with three top five and two top ten finishes. The equally consistent Allen has four top fives and one top
ten. Chris Blackwell is ranked third in the standings and is only two points behind the leaders based on his four top fives. Shawn
Deitch, also a feature winner this season, is only four markers away from the top in fourth. The rotating drivers from the Big O Tire
team, also feature winners, are in fifth and only eight points away.

The lady drivers from the speedway's factory stock powder puff division will be making their second appearance of the winter
season. In their first event, held October 10th, Carol Lewis led Melanie Jackson, Patty Spearing, Christine Weiss and Jennifer
Haley under the checkers. The division points standings, based on track membership, shows Lewis with a two point lead over
Jackson and a six point lead over Weiss.

The Havasu 95 Speedway will also be featuring one of their famous demolition derbies. The smash and dash for cash will pay
$1,000 to the driver of the last car still rolling. The driver of the last car eliminated from the event will receive $200.

The Havasu 95 Speedway will also be presenting their annual Mayor's race featuring prominent officials from the Lake Havasu
City government racing factory stock cars.

After the on track action has concluded, speedway promoter Bill Rozhon will launch a pit road party by lighting his famous
bonfire. Free hot dogs and "adult beverage" will be distributed to the racing teams while supplies last. It's Rozhon's way of saying
thank you to everyone who has supported his race track. DJ music will be provided by the Ridgecrest-California based Lone
Mavrick Productions.

Due to the new year's holiday there will be on usual Friday night test and tune session. Race fans also need to remember that
the January 2nd new years celebration is a day race. The spectator gates will open at 11 am with the racing beginning at 1 pm.

General admission tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors 55 plus, the military and the handicapped. Kids tickets, for ages
six to 16, are $6 while kids five and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. The speedway also offers a family
package, which admits two adults and two kids, for $25. Race fans can also enjoy the special amenities of the speedway's VIP
section, featuring the best seats in the house, for $25 each.
