Havasu 95 Speedway Supports Toys 4 Tots by Donating 78 Bikes

By Shelby Orozco

For the past three years, Havasu 95 Speedway has held a Toys 4 Tots drive to raise as much money for the organization as
possible. This year was no different, but Track Promoter Bill Rozhon wanted it to be extra special. With the help of Havasu 95
Speedway’s fans, drivers, staff, and a special donation from the Vintage Car Racers of the Southwest, Rozhon raised over $4,000
in cash that he used to purchase 78 bikes. When asked why he would rather donate bikes instead of money or toys, Rozhon
simply said, “We here at Havasu 95 Speedway believe every kid should have a bike while growing up.”

The fundraiser lasted two races, the first being November 14th, and the last being November 28th. Going into the second race of
the fundraiser, 51 bicycles had already been purchased. With money raised on November 28th, an additional 27 bicycles were
purchased, bringing the grand total to 78 bicycles for the children of Lake Havasu to receive Christmas morning. Havasu local and
Late Model driver Jerry Snell loved the idea of donating bikes so much that he donated $250 of his $1,000 Nov. 28th race winnings
to the fundraiser.

On the last day of the drive, Bill Rozhon and a few of his track’s drivers walked out onto the track during intermission and unloaded
all 51 bikes from the trailer they were held in to show them to the crowd and to present them to the Kiwanis Club and the Marine
Corps. It was a very heart warming and emotional presentation, and one that Rozhon plans to continue every Christmas at Havasu
95 Speedway from here on out.
